My New Romper

Did I fall asleep at 3pm? I did. Muscle relaxers are stronger than I realized. Thank goodness for work-from-home husbands and video baby monitors.
Last night, I was like “oh man, I want to do more booty exercises!” So, I got my resistance bands out and even thought I’d bump it up a notch and use one of the stronger bands. By the time I got through, my thighs and butt were burning something fierce. Yay me! The burn felt good. Well, my back was catching pretty badly this morning, but it does that sometimes, you know. So, I didn’t think anything of it. Went to the gym, worked out in the water as usual. Got in the shower after and …oh. My head slowly cocked to the side, and I grabbed for the stool as my back started to pinch in the worst of ways. I know what follows that feeling, even though it’s been a couple of months since I’ve felt it. And yes, just a minute later, my leg was numb.
Apparently, booty exercises are quite taxing on your back. I spent the next 5 hours teaching homeschool while fighting through the pain as best as I could but finally gave in around 2:30 and took a muscle relaxer my pain doctor gave me. The rest of the day was just the sight of the back of my eyelids. Will I get any more sleep? Oh man, I hope so. A 5-hour nap where I wake up at the time I usually go to sleep is not ideal. My back does feel a little better though, but I may have to take a break from my booty exercising for a day.
I managed to grab this picture before my husband logged into work today. Same pants, 10 weeks apart. I bought those new in April of this year, and now I could wear them as a romper! When it’s hard to see the difference, putting on my older clothes does the trick. I don’t remember why I was making this face, but feel free to laugh.
Have a great Wednesday!
